YOGA MAT, TURTLE SERENIT
ARTIST CHRISTINE SLABB DREW HER CREATIVE INSPIRATION FOR THE 'TURTLE SERENITY' MAT FROM THE SERENE SEA TURTLES THAT GRACE OUR SEAS AND THE VIBRANT BLUES IN THIS MAT CERTAINLY SET THE SCENE.
Sea turtles can live a remarkably long life – a life that we humans should reflect upon. A female turtle is slow-moving on the land, yet she is calm and determined to keep moving forward. She paces herself as she carries and pulls her heavy body across the soft sand. She does this with such inner strength and ‘serenity’ to her proclaimed destination.
Our mats are made of 100% biodegradable and recyclable rubber with a micro-fibre suede top which ensures extra grip for heated (Bikram) and Yin yoga sessions. Naturally sourced, the rubber used in our mats contains no silicone, toxic glue, phthalates or PVC and unlike other synthetic rubber or foam, it's hard-wearing and won’t retain moisture. The 5mm thickness also allows for a stronger connection to the floor, setting the foundation for those challenging balance poses.
These luxury, eco-friendly yoga mats are perfect for all yoga practices, pilates, and general exercise classes and are not only light but come with a handy hessian carry strap, making them easy to carry wherever your yoga takes you.
